How to properly set up the GoCab pedicab?
Before you set off with the GoCab pedicab, it is important to adjust the bike properly. Read in this article how to adjust the saddle and handlebars to the right height.
Adjusting the GoCab pedicab to suit the rider
Before you set off with the GoCab pedicab, it is important to find the right seating position. The GoCab is adjusted on the following 3 points:
The height of the saddle
The height of the handlebars
The handlebar position
Below we explain how to properly adjust each item on the driver of the GoCab to make cycling even easier and more comfortable.
Setting the saddle height of the GoCab
You set the saddle height correctly by sitting on the bike and putting one foot on the pedal in the lowest position (near the ground). In this situation, the leg should be extended, but still relaxed. To adjust the saddle:
Loosen the tension lever a few turns.
Slide the saddle to the correct height.
Tighten the lever again.
Setting the handlebar height
The height of the handlebar affects the riding comfort. It determines the pressure on the hands and the posture of the back. You determine the most comfortable position yourself in practice. To adjust the handlebar:
Loosen the screw with an Allen key a few turns.
Slide the stem to the correct height.
Then tighten the screw again.
Caution
Do not pull the seat post and handlebar out of the tube any further than the marking indicates. Otherwise the stem is not far enough into the tube and there is a risk that the stem will break off. This can lead to dangerous situations.
Adjusting the steering wheel position
You can also tilt the handlebars of the GoCab pedicab, this allows you to adjust the angle of the handlebars. This affects the distance of the handlebars from the upper body. Determine for yourself in practice it is most comfortable. To tilt the handlebars:
Loosen the screws [A] and [B] with an Allen key a few turns.
Move the handlebar to the desired position and then tighten the screws again.
Loosen the screw [C] with an Allen key a few turns
Move the handlebar to the correct position.
Then retighten the screw.
